Duck the Hassle

From 1972 to 1980 buses, ferries and trains all operated under the control of the Public Transport Commission (PTC). This Government department brought radical changes to the public transport system in NSW. “Duck the Hassle” was a marketing slogan used by the PTC featuring the character of Donald Duck.

The Sydney Bus Museum is very proud to launch our latest publication. Duck the Hassle is a 320 page hard cover colour book that has been authored by well-known Sydney transport historians Roy Howarth, Greg Travers & John Beckhaus.

This publication covers all aspects of the train, bus and ferries of the PTC era. Every year from 1972 to 1980 is covered and all the significant changes are captured.

The book is now with the printer and expected to be delivered at the end of 2024. The normal retail price will be $80 however we are offering a special presale offer. All prepaid orders received before 31/12/2024 will be priced at $80 including postage.

Click on the link below to take advantage of this offer and reserve your copy.

The Sydney Bus Museum would like to thank Transport Heritage NSW for their assistance with a grant to help us publish this book.
