Finance and Administration Officer - Volunteer Opportunity
The Sydney Bus Museum is seeking a dedicated and organized Finance and Administration Officer to join our team of volunteers. This is a vital role in ensuring the smooth operational and financial health of the museum, helping us continue to preserve and celebrate our transport heritage.
This position offers a flexible commitment, requiring approximately 5 hours per fortnight. While some tasks can be managed remotely, we prefer the successful applicant to visit the museum site at least once per fortnight to maintain close contact with our operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Invoicing: Managing accounts payable and receivable.

Banking: Overseeing routine banking transactions.

Reporting: Preparing concise financial reports to assist the committee in decision-making.
What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for someone with a high degree of accuracy and a passion for supporting a community-led heritage organisation.

Software Proficiency: Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Excel and MYOB.

Experience: Previous experience in finance, bookkeeping, or administrative roles is highly desirable.

Commitment: As a volunteer-run institution, your time and dedication are deeply valued.

Sydney Bus Museum Twinned with Glasgow Vintage Vehicles Trust
The Sydney Bus Museum is pleased to announce that it is now twinned with the Glasgow Vintage Vehicles Trust, based at the historic Bridgeton Garage in Scotland.
Both museums share a strong commitment to preserving and operating vintage buses for the benefit of the public. As part of this twinning arrangement, members of both museums will receive free entry to each other’s sites.
